Happy Anniversary, My Love

Just one short year ago today, we stood facing one another in front of God professing our vows of commitment, promise and forever. That was the happiest day of my life.

Now, 365 days later, I feel the exact same way I did that day - madly in love and honored to have you as my husband.

Our anniversary outing was perfect - dinner at Red Lobster, the same place we went on our first date, a Best Buy walk though followed by some yummy ice cream.

 We didn't "exchange" gifts because that would be too cliche for us. Instead, we jointly decided on the perfect anniversary gifts months in advance and you went to pick them up while I stayed home with our newborn son.

I know I didn't wake up right next to you on our anniversary morning - our little nighttime monster had better plans for me - but I will fall asleep by your side tonight. 

In just one year, we have grown exponentially as individuals and as a married couple and we have the Lord to thank for that. I'm so excited to spend the rest of my life with you while continuing to grow together.

Our prayers are getting longer these days, from asking for help becoming a better husband/wife to asking for guidance in parenting; and what a beautiful change that is. It's been a blessed year to say the least, and I have you to thank for that.
